BACK PAIN TREATMENT LOS ANGELES, CA - HEALTH BY RATIO
Online Physical Therapy & Functional Movement Program
Physical therapy, when taken a step farther beyond treating an injury but also addressing the entire body as a whole, can help people achieve long-term total bodily health, avoid future injuries, and even enhance physical performance.

In reality, quality physical therapy combined with functional movement and strength improvements may be used to develop a holistically personalized treatment that will keep you healthy and injury-free. I've been there; therefore, I understand how aggravating it is when you're in discomfort and think everything you do is just chasing symptoms without addressing the root causes.

If you're suffering from an injury (or injuries) or chronic discomfort, holistic physical therapy and functional movement reconditioning might assist. We'll craft a truly comprehensive treatment that will help you feel better and get back to your normal range of motion. We work with clients of all ages, from 15 to 70 years old, who have a wide range of impairments that may impact them for years or even decades. We're sure we can assist you as well.

Our comprehensive physical therapy and functional movement programs not only teach you how to achieve your present health & fitness objectives, but also how to maintain them long-term by teaching you key exercises, stretches, and other unique methods so that you may enjoy your favorite activities at their peak performance for a lifetime!
WHAT IS HBR?
A combination of online physical therapy, corrective exercise, functional mobility and strength training, and nutrition counseling that is delivered online. Our staff designs customized programs that can be completed in as little as 15 minutes every day for injury rehabilitation and prevention. Our goal is to bridge the gap between recurring and chronic injuries to functional health and fitness, as well as teach clients how to keep it for life!
WHAT IS THE HOLISTIC APPROACH WITH PHYSICAL THERAPY AND WHAT CAN IT DO FOR ME?
We look at the entire body from head to toe instead of isolated treatments that concentrate on where the pain is, and frequently overlook the underlying causes of our imbalances and compensations. Assessing and correcting the entire body in its natural movements may make all the difference in the world for us to be able to live a full and active life for decades, while still performing at our personal best now.
HOW DOES ONLINE PHYSICAL THERAPY COACHING WORK?
We provide personalized mobility and exercise programs that are linked to step-by-step videos, as well as one-on-one video coaching sessions, which are available to all of our clients. We also make use of group coaching through daily video calls accessible to everyone in Health By Ratio.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST APPOINTMENT/ASSESSMENT?
First, it’s FREE! We begin with a series of safe and functional movement assessments and range of motion tests that are tailored to the things you're trying to repair, the activities you do on a daily basis, and your long-term objectives.

Then, after reviewing all of the assessments with you, we go through them thoroughly so that you know how and why your body moves the way it does, as well as where potential compensations and/or imbalances might be coming from.

Finally, we come up with a game plan on what specific mobility and exercise strategies you'll need to achieve your health objectives.
WHAT ARE THE 5 PILLARS OF HEALTH?
We truly believe that we can all significantly improve our health and accomplish amazing things when we learn how to strengthen The 5 Pillars of Health.

1. The Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Pillar
2. The Movement Pillar
3. The Nutritional Pillar
4. The Environmental Pillar
5. The Fulfilling Service Pillar

The 5 Pillars are all interrelated, and each aspect of our lives may benefit or be harmed by them. As a result, when we give each pillar its due attention, the body has the ability to grow for decades and decades with its natural skills to heal and perform.

Throughout our program, we ensure that our clients focus on more than simply strengthening and aligning their bodies.
CAN PHYSICAL THERAPY HELP WITH SCIATICA AND LOWER BACK PAIN?
Sciatica and lower back-related injuries are some of the most prevalent and difficult-to-treat types of pain we may experience.

Personally, it was something I had to deal with for years when I drove or sat down for more than 20-30 minutes, making it difficult to drive around in beautiful LA traffic that takes 9 hours per 10 miles traveled.

It's also something that my team and I have assisted a large number of our clients with.

For others, it's a struggle to sit, while others find it difficult to fall asleep or take walks for too long.

When individuals come to us and describe themselves as "I felt like I had tried everything to get healthy," we can identify with their circumstances. They are in a comparable situation when they turn up at our door because they feel that they have done everything possible to improve their health:
CHIROPRACTIC & MASSAGE TREATMENTS, PAIN KILLERS & NERVE BLOCKERS, AND SURGERY
These treatments may provide immediate relief, but the problem with them is that they rarely address the true causes of our sciatica or lower back challenges.
Rather than addressing the roots of your issue, they are treating its symptoms right now.
When considering whether or not it's worth it to self-amputate our leg with a butter knife, immediate alleviation can be beneficial.
However, symptom chasing isn't enough in the long-term since we want to get back to our regular daily and active lives.
PAIN KILLERS
CHIROPRACTOR
SURGERY
TIME TO ASSESS
When these approaches fail to solve the problem, it's time to check out what is going on above and below our spines and/or hips to see what needs correcting.

For me, the underlying causes were a mix of problems in my feet, ankles, and hips that resulted in an over-arching of my lumbar vertebrae and compression of my hip capsules.

For certain clients, the issue is an overly compressed and rolled forward thoracic spine and shoulder girdle, resulting in a loss of the natural curvature of their lumbar spine and a posterior pelvic tilt.

For you, it may be something else.
