SANTA ROSA PHYSICAL THERAPY - HEALTH BY RATIO
Online Physical Therapy & Functional Movement Program
Physical therapy is a well-known treatment that can help heal an injury. However, many individuals are unaware that physical therapy, when taken to the next level and applied to the entire body rather than just a localized treatment, may also aid in obtaining long-term total body health, preventing future injuries, and even improving physical performance.

As a result, by using high-quality physical therapy coupled with functional movement and strength techniques, you can have a holistically personalized rehabilitation program that will keep you healthy and injury-free. We've been there; therefore, we understand how frustrating it is to suffer in pain while attempting everything possible to eliminate the underlying causes.

Holistic physical therapy and functional movement reconditioning can assist you if you're suffering from an injury (or injuries) or chronic pain. We'll develop a comprehensive program that will aid in the reduction of discomfort while also helping you restore full ranges of motion. We work with clients of all ages, from 15 to 70+, and have a variety of issues that frequently impact them for years or even decades. We're confident we can assist you as well.

We teach you how to achieve your health and fitness objectives right now, as well as how to maintain them long-term with innovative exercises, stretches, and other distinctive methods so you may perform your favorite activities at maximum efficiency for life!
WHAT IS HBR?
Our program is a combination of physical therapy, corrective exercise, functional mobility and strength training, and nutritional counseling. Our staff develops individualized programs that may be completed in as little as 15 minutes each day for injury rehabilitation and prevention, followed by functional fitness for whatever activities they wish to enjoy and perform best for. We're dedicated to closing the gap between recurring and chronic injuries to functional health and fitness by teaching our clients how to maintain their own health for life!
WHAT IS THE HOLISTIC APPROACH WITH PHYSICAL THERAPY AND WHAT CAN IT DO FOR ME?
We look at the entire body from head to toe rather than focusing on single problems that focus largely on where the pain is located while frequently neglecting the source of our imbalances and compensations. Assessing and correcting the whole body in its natural movements, as effectively as possible, makes all the difference in our ability to live an active and plentiful life for years to come while performing at our personal best right now.
HOW DOES ONLINE PHYSICAL THERAPY COACHING WORK?
We link to step-by-step videos to customized mobility & exercise programs while guiding our clients in 1-on-1 video coaching appointments. We also include group coaching through daily video sessions that everyone at Health By Ratio has access to.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST APPOINTMENT/ASSESSMENT?
To begin, it's absolutely FREE!
We start with a range of motion measurements and safe & functional movement assessments that are tailored to the problems you're trying to heal, the activities you do on a daily basis, and your long-term objectives.
After that, we go through all of the evaluations with you so you can see exactly how and why your body is moving the way it does, as well as where any potential compensations or imbalances may be coming from.
Finally, we devise a game plan for you on what specific mobility and exercise methods you'll need to return to your best health!
WHAT ARE THE 5 PILLARS OF HEALTH?
We feel that we can all greatly improve our health and achieve amazing things if we learn how to strengthen The 5 Pillars of Health:

1. The Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Pillar
2. The Movement Pillar
3. The Nutritional Pillar
4. The Environmental Pillar
5. The Fulfilling Service Pillar

The 5 foundations are all interlinked, and any one of them has a significant influence on every area of our existence. So when we give each pillar its due, the body has time to grow with its natural capabilities to heal and perform for decades and decades.
We want to help you make the most of your recovery and get back on track as soon as possible.
CAN PHYSICAL THERAPY HELP WITH SCIATICA AND LUMBAR INJURIES?
Sciatica and lumbar injuries are some of the most common and severe pains we may experience.

In addition, it was something I had to deal with for many years whenever I drove or sat down for more than 20-30 minutes, making it difficult to drive in LA's beautiful traffic that seems to take years to get anywhere.

It's also something that my team and I have been able to assist an enormous number of our clients with.

For some, sitting is a struggle too, while for others it's when they go for a walk too long or try to sleep.

They are just like me, in that they feel trapped when they come to us because they believe that they have tried everything to be healthy:
CHIROPRACTIC & MASSAGE TREATMENTS, PAIN KILLERS & NERVE BLOCKERS, AND SURGERY
Surgery, injections, chiropractic therapy, and typical physical therapy can all provide relief in the moment. The issue with them is that they rarely address the true causes of our sciatica and lumbar injuries. Instead, they are dealing with the symptoms at this time.

When things are at their worst for us, all of these options can be a great choice for immediate relief.

However, when we want to return to our normal daily and active lives in the long run, symptom chasing isn't enough.
PAIN KILLERS
CHIROPRACTOR
SURGERY
TIME TO ASSESS
When these tactics don't work any longer, it's time to look at what is going on above and below the spine and/or hips to see what is affecting our core's capability to keep us stable.

The causes of my discomfort related to a combination of issues in my feet, ankles, and hips that were resulting in an overly forward pelvis impacting my lumbar vertebrae and compression of my hip capsules.

For others, it's about their thoracic spine and shoulder girdle being excessively compressed and rolled forward, causing them to lose the natural curvature of their lumbar spine and revert to a posterior pelvic tilt.

For you, it may be different.
